Newborn Session | Reese | Jessica Dum Wedding Coordination

Happy Wednesday friends! I’m excited to share more from our newborn session with Ivan & Louise Images today!

My husband and I welcomed our second little one, Reese, into the world on October 16th and all of us are completely smitten with her. We chose not to find out the gender again this time, so it was THE best surprise to find out it was a girl! Will has been the best big brother and as cliche as it sounds, we already can’t imagine life without her!

We have been completely surprised with how SIMILAR Reese and Will are. We were prepared for polar opposites, but so far she sleeps like a champ, is incredibly calm and even looks almost IDENTICAL to Will as a newborn – especially with all that hair. 😉 As she grows, I’m sure the personality differences will be incredibly obvious, but for now I’m still so surprised by their similarities!!

Back when we created the nursery for Will (you can see a full nursery tour HERE), we purposefully went gender neutral with the entire room a) since we weren’t finding out the sex and b) so that the nursery could remain a nursery for any future kiddos without feeling like we had to redo the room based on gender. Needless to say, the only things I changed out was the wooden quote frame above the crib that we made ourselves (with lettering by Painted Letter Co.) and the pictures on the shelves. That’s it! And I have to say, it was AMAZING!! We still love this room just as much as we did 3 years ago, and it was wonderful not having to worry about all the little details for a second time.
