One of the most important decisions you’ll make while you’re planning your wedding is choosing your venue. This is the space where you will recite your vows and celebrate with your guests, and it’s oftentimes where you will capture what will become many of your favorite photos too. So, choosing a space that you love when the sun is shining or the rain is falling is paramount. And we don’t think Isabel + Jack could have chosen a more beautiful setting for their celebration than Newfields.

Before everyone gathered together at Newfields, Isabel started her day getting ready with her bridesmaids. Once Isabel wrapped up hair and makeup and slipped into her dress, she and her bridesmaids traveled downtown so Isabel and Jack could share their first look.

Choosing to do a first look is an entirely personal choice—there isn’t a right or wrong thing to do! But first looks can offer a great opportunity to ease nerves and share a more private, emotional moment together without guests’ eyes watching on. And we loved witnessing Isabel + Jack taking each other in for the first time. They were both so happy, which helped Stacy from Stacy Able Photography   to create some of our favorite portraits from the day.

After photos, it was time to travel to Newfields where Isabel + Jack recited their vows on the Lilly Terrace. It’s an absolutely stunning space that always seems like it gleams a little brighter during the spring and summer, and the terrace looked gorgeous for their outdoor ceremony! Unsurprisingly, guests loved this part of the day, too.

While Isabel + Jack’s families and friends sipped on cocktails post-ceremony, the bride, groom, and wedding party explored Newfields’ grounds. This is one of the many reasons why we love this venue—there’s an endless number of beautiful spots to explore for portraits, including alcoves, gardens, and green space. Simply put, it’s perfect!

Then everyone was welcomed into the Deer Zink Pavilion for the reception. Unlike the Lilly Terrace that is all about the beauty of nature and warm, glowing natural light, the Deer Zink Pavilion welcomes darker tones and textures into the mix. To offset that, Isabel + Jack teamed up with Posh Petals to create centerpieces filled with ivory blooms and greenery. The end result was something fresh and beautiful, and each piece looked perfect in the ballroom!

Before having their first dance, parent dances, and heartfelt speeches, Isabel, Jack, and their guests dined on a menu created by the impeccable Kahns Catering team. We always appreciate the care and attention to detail that the team puts into each dish, and they are definitely a reason to host a wedding at Newfields!

Although we love every moment, our favorite time of the night is always when the dance floor fills. And it’s always packed when couples work with Living Proof! This band is one of the best bands in Indianapolis, and they’re a crew we’re always excited to work with again. They’re kind and flexible, and they have the best sound. It’s a combination that you just can’t beat!

Isabel + Jack, your wedding was memorable as it was happening, and it still stands out to us now. You two are unbelievably kind, and you both surround yourself with incredible people who share the same values. It was a joy for us to execute your wedding day, and it’s an honor to relive it through all of your beautiful photos. Congratulations all over again!
