I‘m not quite sure how 2017 is already coming to an end, but boy was it a good one! There’s been a lot happening in the JDWC office this year and I’m excited to share a little recap of some fun changes, accomplishments and growth we’ve had!
1. WE HAD A BABY!
Our lives were instantly changed in January when my husband and I welcomed our first little one, William! It’s so true when people say they can’t remember what life was like before these little human beings enter our world. Life is so much sweeter, so much fun, and a whirlwind all at the same time! We are counting our blessings this year and are beyond thankful to have been chosen to be Will’s parents! You can see more from our newborn session with Ivan & Louise HERE and HERE!
2. BRITTANY HAD ANOTHER BABY!
Just about 4 weeks after William was born, Brittany and her husband Derek welcomed their second little boy, Callum, in February! Baby Cal joined his big brother, Brecken (now 2), has the sweetest smile, and is a good mix of both of his parents! You can see more from their newborn session with Ivan & Louise HERE!
3. THE JDWC TEAM GREW
Our newest Lead Coordinator, Kendra (you can meet her HERE), joined the #JDWCteam this year! Kendra has quickly become a great asset to our team and I know her couples will absolutely adore working with her!
4. WE COORDINATED OUR 100TH WEDDING
In June, we had the honor of coordinating our 100th JDWC wedding! How in the world can it be that we have now been a part of 100+ weddings?! I am so very grateful, every day, for such a supportive group of family, friends, clients and our team that make this dream of mine possible!
5. WE RECEIVED 2 INDUSTRY AWARDS
It is extremely humbling to be recognized for all the hard work we put into our clients’ wedding days, and are honored to have received a couple industry awards again this year!
- JDWC landed in the top 5 on Indy A-List in the Best Wedding Planner category
- We received a 2017 WeddingWire Couples Choice Award
6. I JOINED A MASTERMIND GROUP
I’ve always wanted to be a part of a Mastermind group, and I am so very thankful to my sweet friend, Emily Yost (Owner of Emily in Love), for asking me to start one with her earlier this year! There are 5 of us total and we have monthly calls to strategize, set goals and keep each other accountable. It’s been so uplifting to be a part of a group of like-minded creative business owners that cheer each other on and constantly encourage one another on a weekly basis!
7. WE MADE A BIG BUSINESS INVESTMENT
Okay, so we can’t quite spill the beans just yet, but we made a big business move late this fall and are SO excited to share the news with you in the coming months!! Be sure to keep an eye out this spring for a few changes coming to JDWC soon!
It was one heck of a year and we’re excited to see what 2018 has in store. We hope you’ll continue to follow along on our journey and wish you all the best in the year ahead!
