Beautiful Modern Fall Wedding at Daniel’s Vineyard | Abbie + Fred

We look forward to spring and summer wedding days all year long, but there’s also something so special about the fall in Indiana. The colors transition to deeper tones, the sun has a beautiful golden glow, and the landscapes at some of our favorite venues completely transform. And we wanted to share Abbie + Fred’s gorgeous wedding day that fully embraced everything we love about celebrations during this time of year.

AbbieFred celebrated their wedding day in October, and they were presented with one of the most beautiful days of the month (if not the entire season!). They started their celebration by getting ready with their bridesmaids and groomsmen. Rather than see each other for the first time during a first look, Abbie + Fred chose to save that moment for their ceremony. So, Abbie shared a sweet first look with her dad, which we loved.

AF recited their vows at Saint Simon the Apostle Church. Faith is important to both of them, so it was a wonderful spot to become husband and wife. Knowing how much they had looked forward to this moment, we particularly loved watching Fred as he caught his first glimpse of Abbie while she walked down the aisle! We also loved hearing their meaningful vows and witnessing how excited their friends and family were for them as they became a married couple.

After the ceremony, Wandering Heart Photography captured photos of Abbie, Fred, and their wedding party and families at the church before moving to Daniel’s Vineyard for couple’s portraits. The photos Sarah took at the vineyard so perfectly represent the season. We love the changing leaves at the vineyard and how they paired with Abbie’s bouquet by Molly & Myrtle. Plus, the light was so beautiful at this point in the day. Needless to say, everything came together beautifully for this sweet pair.

Guests were welcomed inside Daniel’s Vineyard for the reception, and the space looked stunning! The vineyard is far more modern and industrial than other spaces we’ve visited, which we love to see. The entrance with the wine barrels, wine bottles, and wrought iron chandeliers is one of our favorite spaces. The modern-meets-industrial feel only continued in the ballroom where chandeliers hung overhead, and tables featured either modern tall centerpieces, lush low centerpieces, or a collection of romantic candles by Molly & Myrtle. We also have to note how striking the vines looked as they climbed up the brick behind Abbie + Fred’s seats at the head table!

In between enjoying the space and the company of those they love the most, AbbieFred dined on a menu created by Jacquie’s Gourmet Catering. The couple did a ceremonial cake cutting, but the real fun happened when their ice cream bar opened! These two aren’t the cake fans you might imagine, but they do love ice cream — and they knew they had to share their favorite dessert with their guests. Of course, the fun also continued on the dance floor where DJ Brian Jackson kept the energy up for the first dance, parent dances, and time for everyone to spend dancing together.

AbbieFred, your wedding day was largely planned during the height of COVID, and neither of you could have been more gracious or flexible. It was an honor to witness as you celebrated your long-awaited wedding day together, and we’ll forever think of you as the leaves change every October.
