As wedding coordinators, one of the biggest benefits we enjoy is being offered a front row seat to watch as our couples’ lives unfold during the months we spend with them leading up to their celebration. In the case of Elizabeth + Zach, our front row seat allowed us to realize how much we truly adore this sweet pair!
Elizabeth + Zach celebrated their spring wedding day at the Grand Hall at Histoic Union Station, but the weather they enjoyed wasn’t quite like anyone had anticipated. Instead, they both spent their mornings getting ready with their bridesmaids and groomsmen while the sun peeked out. What you can’t see in their beautiful first look photos is their slightly sunny day had turned to rain that would later turn to sleet and finally snow. What you can see is what’s most important – the drastic change in weather didn’t faze these two. Instead, they were far too excited to celebrate!
After their first look and before their ceremony, Elizabeth + Zach sat together on their ceremony stage where they would later recite their vows to exchange their wedding day gifts. We loved that they chose this location because it offered them the chance to truly enjoy the first space that had been beautifully transformed for them with florals by The Empty Vase and draping and lighting by Atmospheres Indy. Even though they had already seen their aisle, Elizabeth’s walk down the aisle during their ceremony was still just as sweet and their vows equally as moving.
Once they were officially married, guests enjoyed cocktail hour where they collected their escort cards. Oliver’s Twist designed four incredible boards, and on them were seating assignments that were Spanish tile replicas designed as a nod to Elizabeth + Zach’s love for traveling. This detail was one of our very favorites and a gorgeous statement piece that welcomed guests into the reception!
In the reception space, the classic and elegant beauty only continued. Guests were welcomed into a ballroom complete with tables adorned with high and low centerpieces and a beautifully decorated staircase draped with cascading florals. The timeless and fresh ivory and green palette made its biggest impact here, and we would be remiss if we didn’t mention how much we adored Elizabeth + Zach’s sweetheart table. The table was set with four place settings – two for the bride and groom and two for the best man and maid of honor. In the middle of one of the most exciting days of their lives together, Elizabeth + Zach made sure they would get to spend focused time with two of their favorite people and the remainder of their amazing bridal party just feet away at two head tables flanking their sweetheart table.
As you can certainly tell from the gorgeous photos Cory & Jackie captured, Elizabeth + Zach are two wonderfully genuine souls who we loved working with from the moment we first met until their final sparkler exit where Elizabeth changed into the cutest 2-piece getaway outfit! It certainly was a day we won’t soon forget!
