An Indianapolis Wedding at Laurel Hall | Emily + Daniel

For the past seven years, we have had the great joy of knowing the parents of today’s groom. They are some of the kindest people and a wonderful pair to call neighbors (my son ADORES them!!), so we were not the least bit surprised when we learned their son, Daniel, and his soon-to-be wife, Emily, are equally as lovely.

Daniel + Emily officially became Mr. and Mrs. at the tail end of last summer. They celebrated at one of our favorite Indianapolis wedding venues, Laurel Hall, which always reminds us of a French chateau that just happens to be right in our backyard! As a result of the relationship they share and the gorgeous setting where they would celebrate their new marriage together with their guests, Emily had a beautiful vision for their wedding day.

A palette of dusty blue, blush, and burgundy was Emily’s main piece of inspiration, and the colors paired together beautifully. We loved how her bridesmaids all wore the same color, but their dresses were slightly mismatched. The look created some of our favorite photos, and we especially enjoyed seeing how their dresses paired with their bouquets created by Molly and Myrtle.

Before their ceremony got underway in the chapel at Laurel Hall, Emily + Daniel saw each other for the first time during their first look. Every time I catch a glimpse of Emily’s bridesmaid placing her dress and veil perfectly before that special moment, I smile. It was perfect!

Emily walked down the aisle to Daniel, and they recited their vows together before celebrating their first married moments as they recessed. Guests sipped on drinks during cocktail hour, and we couldn’t help but soak in the beauty of the completed reception space. We loved how Molly and Myrtle adorned the fireplace behind the sweetheart table with greenery, placed compotes of burgundy, blush, and ivory blooms on each table, and had an abundance of candles to create a truly classic, timeless, and romantic feel.

Guests spent the night on the dance floor in the solarium (one of our favorite rooms at Laurel Hall), thanks to Mike with Sound Advice DJ, and enjoyed cake expertly baked by Sharon Conners. As the evening came to a close, everyone lined either side of the doors to send Emily + Daniel off into the night with a sparkler exit that felt a little bit like magic.
