A Ritz Charles Garden Pavilion Wedding | Niki + Thom | Jessica Dum Wedding Coordination

One of the greatest joys about wedding planning is learning all of the details about each and every couple’s story. Niki + Thom’s journey together is still one of our favorites to date because it’s a complete international whirlwind. Niki is from Indiana, and Thom is from London. She was working in Madrid, but she traveled to Australia to explore. That’s where she met Thom – halfway around the world. Incredible, right? But, sometimes it takes a trip across many miles for two of the kindest people to meet!

Their story was already unique, and they kept the trend going while planning their Carmel, Indiana wedding. Both Niki + Thom placed a wonderful emphasis on their wedding ceremony, so they opted to host an intimate ceremony at her parents’ home for family and a few very close friends. In order for Thom’s mom to still get to experience their wedding ceremony, they chose to recite their vows again in a simple outdoor ceremony on the lawn of the Ritz Charles Garden Pavilion in Carmel. We’re certain this ceremony – technically a vow renewal – was equally as beautiful. Plus, their guests got to watch as Niki + Thom exchanged their vows before the celebration was underway!

Inside the Ritz Charles’ all-glass garden pavilion, there is always an abundance of natural light during the day, and the windows offer a beautiful glow once the sun sets. It’s stunning on its own, and Niki + Thom opted to embrace simplicity when designing their Carmel wedding in order to let the space shine. Their florals by Grounded Plant and Floral Co were mostly neutral with a few hints of blush, which matched the bridesmaids’ dresses wonderfully. The rustic wooden x-back chairs offered even more natural texture and color – it was gorgeous! And, sprigs of greenery were waiting at each guest’s place setting, which felt like the perfect way to add a touch of style and make everyone feel welcomed.

With family and friends gathering from England and the USA, Niki + Thom’s wedding is one we won’t soon forget.
