Today I’m thrilled to officially introduce you to our newest Lead Coordinator, Kendra! Kendra joined our team this year and suddenly we feel complete! I don’t know what it is about her, but I know our brides will fall in love with her personality, attention to detail, great style and will be well loved on from beginning to end!
It’s because of our Lead Coordinators, like Kendra, that we have the capability of executing, managing and bringing to life the visions of so many couples weekend after weekend! And sometimes even more than one wedding in a weekend at that! I’m excited for you to get to know her a little better through this Q&A, and cannot wait to see what’s to come!
KENDRA MILLS | LEAD COORDINATOR
Years with JDWC: Almost 1 year!
Tell us a little bit about you: I’m Kendra – wife to Peter and mom to our daughter Landyn. I love a clean space, fresh flowers, and quiet evenings at home with my family. I have a business management degree from IU and a passion for being organized and efficient.
What’s your favorite way to spend a Saturday when you’re not working a wedding? With my family. During the warmer months we love to go to the farmers market, ride our bikes to breakfast or lunch, and hit up our neighborhood pool. When it’s cold you can find us waking up slowly and making breakfast at home, enjoying a fire, and cuddled up with a movie.
You’re a Lead Coordinator for JDWC – what do you love most about working with brides and executing their wedding day? I love seeing a bride’s face light up when she first sees her vision that has come to life! So much time, thought, and preparation has gone into this one single day. You can literally see relief sweep her face as every worry and stressor transforms into pure joy!
If you had one piece of advice for couples on their wedding day, what would it be? Take a few moments to step back and soak in your day with your new husband or wife. Everything goes by so quickly, but those few minutes alone are something you’ll never regret!
Tell us what your favorite wedding trend is right now: Right now I am loving suspended greenery and florals, whether they be centerpieces or a feature above the head table, I think they add so much interest and intimacy to the space!
Your top 3 places to shop: Nordstrom, Zara, and Amazon (for everything!)
What’s your go-to coffee order? As big as they’ve got, with soy or almond milk and A LOT of Splenda!
