WHAT IS A DAY OF WEDDING COORDINATOR?

As a Day of Wedding Coordinator, we do just that; we coordinate the logistics of your wedding day to make sure that everything you’ve spent months planning runs exactly how you envisioned it. From the arrival times of your vendors, decorating and setting up your ceremony and reception venues to packing up all of your gifts and items at the end of the night, a Day of Wedding Coordinator will take care of it all to ensure that your plans are carried out smoothly.

We focus on more than just your wedding day – we want the entire process of finalizing your details to be a joyful one for you and your families. DO YOU CHARGE FOR AN INITIAL CONSULTATION?

No, our complimentary consultations are designed for us to get a better idea of what it is you’re looking for in a coordinator, the plans and ideas you have determined thus far, and how we can bring your vision to life! We like to take this time to get to know you and ensure that we’re the best fit for your needs. Most importantly, we want to make sure that you feel comfortable trusting us to tend to the details on your big day!

ONCE WE BOOK JDWC, HOW MUCH COMMUNICATION WILL WE HAVE?

From the point of booking, there is no limit on email or phone communication with your JDWC Coordinator. We understand that clients sometimes book 6, 9 or even 12+ months out and we are happy to offer suggestions, opinions and/or guidance at any point throughout the planning process.

HOW OFTEN DO WE MEET PRIOR TO MY WEDDING DAY?

Depending on the package you choose, consultations begin anywhere from 1-3 months prior to your wedding day. We meet on several occasions to discuss your details, create and nail down a solid timeline, confirm vendors, and ultimately devise a game plan for execution on the day of.

HOW DO YOU DETERMINE YOUR FEES?

Our fees are reflective of our experience in the industry as well as the quality of experience that we provide to our couples. We offer a level of expertise to help guide you throughout those last few months leading up to your wedding day. When couples book with JDWC, they know that they are investing in peace of mind, and an unforgettable experience!

MY VENUE HAS AN ONSITE COORDINATOR. WHAT’S THE BENEFIT TO ALSO HAVING A DAY OF WEDDING COORDINATOR?

JDWC works exclusively for you, while an onsite coordinator works for the venue. We are in charge of assisting you in finalizing details and coordinating, working as your #1 consultant throughout those last few months prior to your wedding day. We not only manage vendors and set out your personal touches, but we make sure the entire production of your wedding runs smoothly. Most importantly, our role is to have an eye on every moving piece including the venue, to ensure the day is seamless.

WHAT IF A FAMILY MEMBER OR FRIEND HAS OFFERED TO HELP ME ON THE DAY OF?

Friends and family can be so wonderful in their willingness to help you set-up and run your wedding. But since they are your guests, you’d likely rather they enjoy themselves than spend your wedding day stressing over the details, feeling in over-their-head, or missing important moments with you. As experienced professionals, we can take over that role instead, so while you get to have a fun and meaningful time at your wedding, those closest to you do, too!

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A DAY OF WEDDING COORDINATOR AND A FULL-SERVICE WEDDING PLANNER?

Full-service wedding planners often specialize in longer-term projects like managing your budget, venue site selection, creating a design aesthetic and attending all vendor meetings. The heart of our work is being your experienced partner to take you down the home stretch and execute your details. Some full-service planners do offer day-of and month-of coordination services as well, but this type of support is truly our sole focus. Because of this, we’re able to invest our time and attention in getting to know you and the wedding you’re planning. By understanding your story, we can be a guide and resource to you along the way and fulfill all of your plans and event needs on the day of your wedding!

DOES JDWC TRAVEL?

Yes, yes and yes! JDWC is based out of Indianapolis and available for travel both nationally and internationally. We would love to be a part of your day no matter the location! Additional travel-related expenses may apply – contact us today to learn more about our destination wedding offerings.

HOW MANY WEDDINGS OR EVENTS DO YOU COORDINATE PER DAY?

We only coordinate one event per Coordinator per day. Your JDWC Coordinator will have no other events to distract them from your wedding.
